Corrosion se formó en el 2004, cuando Alberto Zegarra comenzó a crear secuencias electrónicas a través de sintetizadores y mezclas por computadora. Omar Barahona, compañero del colegio, se unió con la idea de tocar el bajo para agregarle mayor presencia y peso a las canciones. Es ahí cuando Omar presentó a Luis Bueno, amigo de la universidad, el cual apoyó en los riffs y solos de las canciones. Los temas ya tenían un tono más agresivo y Alberto las acompañó con las voces / gritos.

En el 2006 Corrosion lanzó un demo con 13 canciones, en su mayoría de género industrial y esta fue recibida de manera extraña en los conciertos que la banda organizaba o era invitada. El público no estaba listo aún para este sonido, pero Corrosion no paró hasta editar el primer disco oficial de la banda el cual fue llamado "MXM" y fue recibido muy bien por la crítica.

Actualmente la banda se encuentra promocionando el disco a través de conciertos, notas de prensa, entrevistas, etc .

Corrosion es metal industrial y su sonido interactua con sampleos de películas, discursos políticos, sonidos industriales, agresivos riffs de guitarras y contundentes bajos.

Corrosion was formed in 2003, when Alberto Zegarra started creating electronic sequences through synthesizers and mixed by computer. Omar Barahona, school friend, joined the project with the idea of playing the bass to add more presence and weight to the songs. That's when Omar introduced Luis, a friend from college, so then he added more riffs and solos to the songs. These were getting more aggressive and Alberto accompanied them with the voices / screams.

In 2006, the band released a demo with 13 songs, mostly industrial gender, this music was new in the city and it was played in festivals. The people was not ready for this sound, but Corrosion didn’t care and started to record their first album which was called "MXM" and was very well received by critics.

The band is currently promoting the album through concerts, press releases, interviews, etc.

Corrosion is industrial metal and interacts with sound samples from movies, political speeches, industrial sounds, aggressive guitar riffs and strong bass.
